Brokers and Agents

National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU). This site offers under its Consumer Info section a search tool that provides consumers with names and contact information for member agents (brokers) within their geographic area. NAHU also provides questions and answers regarding why to use an agent, as well as an extensive glossary. www.nahu.org/consumer/index.cfm

American Agents Alliance. This is a nonprofit organization that serves independent insurance producers and consumers. It offers a locator tool that helps consumers find agents in California. Note that these agents may offer many different types of coverage, and do not necessarily specialize in health insurance. www.agentsalliance.com
